About our Homemade Cookies

They’re not just homemade cookies…

These cookies represent a part of who we are and where we came from.

Our goal is to save, cherish, and share the recipes of our families for future generations to enjoy. Perhaps that sounds a little corny, but sometimes the tastes and smells of the past are some of the greatest memories that we have.

We hope you will enjoy and perhaps remember the same.

Ingredients you can pronounce

Our cookies are always home-baked without preservatives. We use whole butter (no margarine, ever), farm fresh eggs, white or whole wheat flour, Crisco (pure vegetable shortening), granulated sugar and brown cane sugar, pure vanilla extract, organic raisins, Quaker Oatmeal, and Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips as well as iodized salt, baking soda, cream of tartar, and cinnamon.

Simple Ingredients include whole eggs, real butter, cane brown sugar, pure granulated sugar and more.

My (Laurie’s) Grandmother’s recipe and the very first cookie that I baked on my own! My recipe card may show the passing years, but I still keep it taped on my recipe stand for reference.

Crisco shortening, butter, sugar, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt, and Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Haley’s Grandmother’s recipe that is sadly fading so quickly on my original index card. I know it by heart but why store it away in the cookbook?

Crisco shortening, butter, sugar, eggs, flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt.

Found this recipe in my favorite cookbook and after a few tweaks, voila! I suppose the oatmeal and raisins add a smidgen of wholesomeness? A tried and true breakfast.  (Did I just say that?)

Crisco shortening, sugar, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, Quaker oatmeal, raisins, baking soda, salt.

So yummy and moist; the toffee chips (along with a few chocolate bits) are not overpowering but add the extra texture and crunch.  I'm not exactly sure which side of the family this recipe came from, but it is definitely an entire family favorite, every time.

Butter, sugar, eggs, Skippy Crunch Peanut Butter, flour, baking soda, salt, and Heath Toffee Baking Chips.

A classic family recipe with the added benefit of walnuts and extra chocolate chips for good measure.

Sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, canola oil, cocoa, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, walnuts, and Ghirardelli semi-sweet and bittersweet chocolate chips.

Named after my Dad, this cookie is the ultimate in sweetness and crunch.  Literally includes everything but the kitchen sink.

Crisco, brown sugar, white sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, flour, salt, soda, Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips, Reese's peanut butter chips, pecans, coconut, corn flakes, and Quaker oatmeal.
